Confirmed from Willie Wildlife Marsh's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
State park featuring a boardwalk trail through a peaceful forest with wildlife.
What runners say about Willie Wildlife Marsh
“Beautiful easy accessible trail even in the winter!”
“5 mile loop that is easy to navigate.”
“Just a really peaceful and serene hike, we'd love to visit again someday!”
“Beautiful spot for a short and easy walk.”
Explosions of bird calls from red shouldered hawks to blue jays executing their ideas&feelings pulled me from the road toward the south. Couple miles of well worn paths amid the bog, and many miles of unmarked shadowed trails snaking throughout fit for a rangers eye.
Beautiful trail, the loop was *very* muddy. There were afew small bogs where avoiding the mud was nearly impossible. Clearly well used, and with good reason!
Willie Wildlife Marsh is a nice short hike. The trail is most known for its boardwalks which go over and through the marsh. The best views on the trail are from the boardwalks. The hike is a 1.5 mile loop that is easy to navigate. Just follow the red markers. Parts of the trail are wheel chair accessible.
Went on mother's a few years back ... They transformed and fixed so many things. The bridges are beautiful (and safe). It's just a lovely trail to walk with your family, friends, or alone. Very peaceful and calming. I certainly suggest you take this nature trail as it is gorgeous.
