Confirmed from Wolf Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The restrooms were clean.”

Beautiful trail! Mostly dirt and gravel. It is amazing, the water beside it adds a beautiful view.

★★★★★ — Emiliano , Aug 2023

I absolutely love riding on the towpath, and Wolf Creek is my favorite trailhead to stop at! They have a water fountain, picnic table, and some of the cleanest public restrooms that I've seen. Great place to park and go for a walk or ride down the towpath!

★★★★★ — Chad , May 2019

I visit often. Lots of deer and purple Martin's. Nice paved walk perfect for bike riding and people with mobility issues.

★★★★★ — Lisa , Aug 2018

This is a nice section of the trail going North. The canal is still in tact all the way to Summit lake. Be advised if you go south, you'll Want to hold your nose in two miles by the Barberton water treatment plant. And there is a large hill just before Vanderhoof trailhead.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
