Confirmed from Wolsing Woods Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This was a great little surprise. Creek is great for toddlers - 5yr olds to splash around in (bring water shoes because rocks are slippery). We only did 1 trail, off to the right of the map and it was very short loop, took us 15min (going slow!) we pushed strollers through it just fine.

This is a nice little nature preserve for kids to play in the creek and explore the creek bank from either side. For a bit of a longer walk you should cross the creek as long as it isn't raised to get a more scenic/longer hike. It is perfect for the ammount of space available as a fun little play spot.

★★★★☆ — Jim , Jun 2022

Very easy-going, short hikes on fairly flat grassy paths. The trails are maintained nicely and are mostly shaded. When the creek is not high it is an easy crossing to the other side. The Wolsing family donated this land and the park is a beautiful memorial to them.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 12 mentions

“Per previous comments the neighbors on the right of the drive have dogs that seem to be aggressive but they seem to stay in their own yard.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
