Confirmed from Fox Run Park - New Kenton County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic, 225-acre park featuring trails for hiking and walking, plus a pond for fishing.
What runners say about Fox Run Park - New Kenton County Park
“Excellent quiet park, great to go to get away from the noise of everyday life and the scenery is beautiful”
“Usually really quiet, but I recently experienced a couple kids riding motor cross bikes through the old fairways, but that was only once.”
Update Feb 2023- Daytime coyote encounter. Kind of scary, after encountering a lone coyote on the trail, the pack had a kill and were barking and howling very close in the woods. Be careful, keep an eye. This one is a challenge! Lots of steep inclines and a really good workout!
The park is a reclaimed area of the golf course. All the trails are the old paved golf cart paths. Most are in pretty good condition. However, there are some pretty steep sections that would not be suitable for a wheel chair, especially parts of the orange and blue trail.
Great training ground for long distance hikers!! Very Steep sections, trails are old golf course cart paths. Total of 6.75 miles with hundreds of acre of forests to explore. There is one pond & also about 1-1.5 mile or so of "not so steep" paths for those who cannot do hills.
Fox Run Park is golf course converted into a park. The park offers a fishing pond and paved trails. Many of the trails have steep sections which can be great for hiking but a little treacherous on a bike.
