Confirmed from Wyandotte County Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great Lake and Park. Lots of fun Hiking and biking trails. With play equipment for the children and views that are breath taking, Such an amazing place where you can see nature without leaving the City. Originally a WPA project this lake/park is Amazing. Has Free Parking.

Beautiful park to drive through or walk the trials! Lots of wildlife and photo opportunities! My only issue is alot of the equipment like the swings and slides and rusted and very old. But all around I enjoy the park!

★★★★☆ — Wylie , Feb 2022

On the first nice day of the year, the place was packed but everyone was friendly and courteous. People were fishing, grilling out, picnicing, all in all having fun. The park was clean, even the restrooms. The Bridle Loop trail was well maintained and well marked, even though a few spots were still wet.

★★★★★ — Lauren , Mar 2025

Great park on the NE of Kansas City. The trails could be better marked, only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. The trail was great, scenic and full of fall colors. A few nice views of the lake as well. The bathrooms were locked, so that was a slight annoyance but there were some porta potties that were clean.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
