Confirmed from Xcel Energy Mountain Bike Park Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Flowy, 4.75-mile trail featuring berms, jumps, rollers, and other obstacles for mountain bikers.
What runners say about Xcel Energy Mountain Bike Park Trailhead
Fun new trail! While it’s not super long, the entire thing has plenty of flow, loads of berms, rollers and jumps that make it fun to session multiple times. My 7yr old and I rode the whole thing multiple times and he was able to ride almost all of it. Still a couple tree skinnies that are legit challenging.
Only done the green trail, since I'm totally new to riding but it was a really great ride! Didn't care for the green trail back to the parking lot but the main loop was fantastic.
Great spot, loved the lake loop especially as well as the blue and green loops. Pretty similar to Lebanon hills for the green portions at least.
One of the best parks ive found around the city. Easy to drop in quick and get your turns in. The Pump Track is tasteful but approachable, and the inner and outer blue loops are extremely well put together. Good technical lines on the inner loop, and an absolutely cash jump line on the outer.
Trail conditions & character
“The beginning of the trail has some feature you can hit and loop around back to the start.”
“There is a lake nearby if you wanted to swim after a ride, and a trail goes around it with a good view.”
“The trails are also very well labeled so you don’t get yourself into a hard technical trail when you are not ready.”
“It is definitely flat and not super challenging but that is why I gave it 5 stars.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
