Confirmed from Yukon City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular 100-acre park offering Christmas lights, play areas, trails and events.

“This is a dog friendly park!”
This is totally one of the best parks I went to. I got to see alot of the trees and it reminds me of walking in a forest (it feels like it) and it’s so peaceful and so relaxing.
One of the cleanest and most well kept parks we've seen. The pond isn't huge but it's relaxing to sit by and the paved walking paths are very nice. Also, it's not every day you see a Horseshoe Park!
This is a GREAT park!! This is a dog friendly park!! Went here on 8/10/25 with my two little dogs to give them a proper walk! I went early in the morning to beat the heat! 😉 Because of this, it wasn't super crowded! My dogs enjoyed their walk as did I! Remember, clean up after your pets to keep the park clean!
Visiting City Park for its Christmas light display is tradition for a lot of people, and for good reason! It costs nothing, its easy to follow social distancing, and it's very pretty! Just be warned that it's not guaranteed that you'll get a parking spot.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
