Confirmed from Zion Nature Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Zion Nature Sanctuary
“Not only does it have a fascinating history, but it is very quiet and peaceful with often no one else there, making it much less crowded than nearby parks like Starkey Park.”
Truly a hidden gem in Zionsville. Not only does it have a fascinating history, but it is very quiet and peaceful with often no one else there, making it much less crowded than nearby parks like Starkey Park. The trails aren't very long, but perfect for a stroll through nature.
I took my son to play at the playground at Eagle Elementary and we sort wandered down a path and discovered the shelter on this little pond. It's kind of an interesting, secluded area.
Decent short loop trail through a pretty wooded area. Park in the elementary school lot and find the trailhead is at the back of the parking lot. About 0.75km total, very kid-friendly!
It's perfect for a short walk in nature. Little pond with sitting areas. Good variety for nature Journaling.
