Confirmed from Zuanich Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Beautiful park, great place to fly a kite, has a waterfront walk, sailing vibes, a small but well kept playground, few picnic tables and a washroom.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 16 mentions

“The park itself isn't beautiful, no shade trees, etc, but it's a great place to watch the sunset, peruse the boats moored at the harbor, or fly your kite!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“The scenic harbor trail offers stunning views of the lake, making it perfect for a peaceful stroll.”

Our first visit to Billingham exceeded expectations, and it’s definitely a destination worth exploring. We arrived early, finding ample parking. The park is nestled in the heart of the boating and fishing community, surrounded by historic architecture.

While not the most beautiful of Bellingham's parks, Zuanich Point is a lovely spot for a picnic or a good walk. The marina is a nice change for those who spend most of our time with trees and lakes. The outdoor exercise equipment, while sparse, is a very nice addition.

Best waterfront park in Bellingham. Come here on a sunny day and bring a blanket and lounge. There’s a nice walking loop along the water that is spectacularly beautiful. If you’re looking to fly kites on a windy day, this is the place to come. Just don’t expect to be the only one.

I've been coming to this park my whole life. Even my kid had his wedding at this park almost a decade ago. There are some amazing views of the bellwether hotel and the marina with lots of amazing boats very nice protected barge area where all the boats are. This would be an amazing place to Mooring your boat.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“It’s a great park to walk around or relax, have a picnic, fly a kite, take in views of Baker and Twin sisters, sailboats leaving the marina, Olympic mountains and lummi.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
