Not for the feint of heart. A nice easy Jont down hill on the way down and then all the way back it's only up hill. Pretty though, and mostly shady.
January 2026: About a 4.5 mile loop with ~800 feet of elevation gain if turning right at the first fork, the trail signage is posted at each place to turn but I'd recommend using a free app such as Alltrails to ensure keeping on the right path, or just make your own!
Awesome hike. We went all the way down to the creek. Beautiful views and it was super nice to Ford the stream after a long, hot hike.
a moderately challenging hike from just outside Frisco. The river is lovely. I have hiked this several times and never seen animals
