We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Chico Canyon Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed, dog-friendly hike with stunning scenery and mountain trails.

This is a popular trail for bikers and bikers. It leads beside the creek and winds through a sense patch of forest that opens up to beautiful canyon views next to the golf course. This was a great place for native plant identification and to see the Park Fire burn scar.
Beautiful views no matter which way you look. I loved the trails off of this trailhead!
A comfortable hike with beautiful scenery. Friendly to dogs, kids, joggers, walkers and experienced mountain bikers. We didn't go far, so I can't speak to the terrain past our mostly shaded, plus 15 minutes of sun, easy walk before retracing our steps.
Beautiful surroundings and a well-maintained trail make for an enjoyable walk, run or casual hike. The trail head runs along Chico Creek until you make your way up the hill. Bidwell Golf Course will be on your left as you make your gradual ascent. The trail opens up to beautiful views of Upper Park.
