We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of 5th Street Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about 5th Street Trailhead
“Easy to get to, good parking, clean bathroom, nice place to hike or bike, and people do ride horses around here.”
“Great trail, not hard to hike, very peaceful and beautiful scenery”
Sunrise to sunset. Has an outhouse and picnic table. Good walking trail with elevation
I had no idea this was here. Great place to take the dogs hiking. Loop and point to point trails. 4x4 usage also.
Easy to get to, good parking, clean bathroom, nice place to hike or bike, and people do ride horses around here. The city has/is putting lots of work into making this an attractive destination. There is a massive DG perimeter trail probably 20' wide that's great for the road bikes and dog walkers.
Took the wife 4 a trail ride... she calls this mnt. biking...lol. Parked at the 5th st. lot n unloaded the bikes, rode down 2 Silver Saddle n then out 2 the Mexican Dam, turned round n went back. All n all a great biking, walking or dawg walking path. Every1 was very friendly.
