Confirmed from 6 Acre Wood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about 6 Acre Wood Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (46 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

6 Acre Wood Park opened in 2003 and is a quarter mile loop trail that travels through pine flatwoods. The trail is accessible from Hillsboro Boulevard and the Winners Circle Trail but there is no parking lot. Along the trail you will see signs identifying plant and animal life that are indigenous to the area.

Small lovely Pine Flatwoods short nature trail. Does connect to Covered Bridge Park on one of the trails making it longer. Parking only available across the street in the shopping center.

★★★★☆ — Denise , Jan 2023

For those that live off of Hillsboro or in Pine Tree Estates, this is a great place to walk and ride bikes. This entrance is on Hillsboro Blvd, but you also can enter from Holmberg Rd, Covered Bridge Park. From Pine Tree Estates take the trail at the end of the North side streets.

★★★★★ — Robin , Jul 2022

Nice public park. You can park on the opposite side of the street and just walk over to the park. Side walk throughout the park, complimentary insect repellent and hand sani. Bench with garbage can next to it, what else more can you ask for?

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
