Confirmed from Doris Davis Forman Wilderness Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Doris Davis Forman Wilderness Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (49 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“This is a beautiful small wooded park where you can walk and be with nature.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 8 mentions

“Nice and peaceful nature walk, with Sidewalk trails and long boardwalk trails through the forest.”

It is a small lovely wooded nature trail and maintained well. Circular in design, start on one side and comes right back to the starting point. Although in a very safe community, it is secluded so I dont recommend a female going alone.

This is a beautiful small wooded park where you can walk and be with nature. We tool family pictures here as the backgrounds are really nice. I highly recommend it 👌 👍

★★★★★ — Craig , Apr 2022

This is a very beautiful nature trail in the heart of Parkland. It does not have it's own parking lot so you have to park down the street at the Riverland Elementary School and then walk over.

★★★★☆ — Ariel , May 2018

Nice little trail that is mainly a recycled plastic board walk. There are a bit of spiders and a lot of mosquitos when it is season. There are some nice ferns. The trial is a good size for the location and you can get a good amount of exercise with 3 laps around. It is quite and even has free mosquito repellent.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
