We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Adams Mill Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“i go here almost everyday with friends and it’s so beautiful and relaxing and is always fun!”

Such a nice trail! Lots to see, super cool trees, and ruins. The trail is a little tricky at times as it narrows towards tbe train bridge and isn't marked, just worn in. So much fun and very peaceful. Will be back!

Really nice trail with some cools ruins of old mill buildings and a wonderful stream. Kinda difficult to find if you aren't looking in the brewery parking lot.

★★★★★ — Jinxed , Jul 2021

Very nice trail, we got to see some cool ruins. We did not go far because of all the mosquitoes so make sure to wear your bracelets or put on mosquitoe repellent spray. Also there is lots of uneven terrain so just make sure to watch your step and wear sneakers or boots for this trail.

Cool little local trail that follows the Hockanum and goes past some 19th century mill ruins. Very quiet and secluded hike with the occasional glimpse of local wildlife such as Great Blue Herons and deer. Southern side is rough going.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
