Confirmed from Aesops Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small park for dogs and kids, featuring a playground, a pond and tennis courts.
What runners say about Aesops Park
“The small pond is stocked and clean so that you can fish from any spot around it.”
“They have restrooms, a fenced in dog park , several picnic tables, playground for kids, exercise area, a beautiful stocked pond.”
“The dog park is big and shaded with lots of water bowls for the furry minded.”
“I like this park although it's small and it might not have much privacy when they have other families around , but if I go when they don't have many people it's nice and quiet.”
Nice hidden park area, if you plan on having a cook out there I suggest going ahead of time and scoping out the area. There was a lot of beer cans scattered around the bathroom in the bathroom was to be desired but that was no fault of the parks that was due to somebody who had visited obviously before I had.
Nice park, with plenty of space to play various activities. There’s a tennis court, play ground, and a dog park for large and small dogs. Plenty of room for the doggies to run around. Also a nice park to take a walk as there’s a small pond in the middle. Overall beautiful park!
Great open area to bring the kids and the pets. The dog park is big and shaded with lots of water bowls for the furry minded. They have a cute lake to walk around and a neat tennis court. I always come here when I visit from SC.
Great place for lunch outside with little ones. A beautiful walk around pond with lots of turtles and birds to watch as well. Nice place

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
