Best airport viewing park. Great place to watch aircraft and to watch the airport logistics. Great for plane spotting and tracking. Great for a run and walk. Pet friendly. Beautiful landscaping. Sculptures, statues and art instalation.
We drove along Griffin Road to find a place to park and watch the airplanes and were so delighted to see that the city built a park along the airstrip. The park is clean and has great views of the airplanes. Parking is ample and free. Great for taking a jog or riding a bike.
This park is sandwiched between the airport and Griffin. It offers 2 trails. One path runs along a 35 ft high berm that runs the length of the runway. The path snakes up and down the berm giving you a vigorous workout as you walk up and down the hills. Approx 1.5 miles out and back. The other path is flat and easy.
Very intimate little walking park adjacent to the southern part of the airport runway. Great place to watch planes come in and take off. Strangely, it's very peaceful and serene. Not half as much foot traffic as county Parks
