Confirmed from Edgewood Passive Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil open space featuring a paved trail, a pond and views of planes landing and taking off.
What runners say about Edgewood Passive Park
“Quiet, peaceful, clean plenty of run around space for Mr BB.”
“You have the sound of the airport and 595W but can be peaceful.”
This Ft. Lauderdale Park opened on April 12. 2001 on the site of a former 11 acre trailer park in the Edgewood neighborhood of Ft. Lauderdale. What was once an eyesore for the community has been transformed into a beautiful natural asset. Edgewood is tucked into a corner of Ft.
Local place, fenced in with fitness stations. Nice pathway with a hill for walking, jogging or biking. Even a small pond with occasional waterfowl. It gets a little swampy during rainy season. Great place for the dogs.
Great Park located right near Fort Lauderdale Airport. You can walk around here and enjoy yourself, or just sit and watch the planes. It is a great spot to just Escape, even though you are still close to the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Pristine loop park. Its an exercise loop with standard free weight stations. You have the sound of the airport and 595W but can be peaceful. There's nice grassy area I used to play catch with the pup. Deep in the neighborhood and there is a parking lot, dont have to street side park

- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
