Confirmed from Alabaster Municipal Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with basketball and tennis courts, picnic tables and soccer fields.
What runners say about Alabaster Municipal Park
“Sometimes the fields need cutting more often than is done too but overall it's pretty well maintained.”
It's a park. There are soccer fields, basketball courts, pavilions, playgrounds, and bathrooms... and there is no charge to use it. Well... I mean it is funded by taxes. Money well spent, I say. Municipal park is an Alabaster melting pot.
Needed somewhere to run in the early morning and this is one of the only places I could find that was 24 hrs a day. I've only been here once and while it was still dark but it didnt appear to have a running track. I made do and used the inside fence of one of the fields available.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
