Confirmed from Buck Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A nice paved loop needy to baseball field and Buck Creek. Also connects to City Hall.

★★★★☆ — Rebecca , Mar 2025

Little fun gravel trail once you get down the path a little bit, trees are beautiful, nature is so peaceful, a playground for the kids, trail is about a mile long (estimated) and lots to do here.

★★★★★ — Dylan , Sep 2024

I really wish the playground was newer. Most people come here for a quiet walk or picnic. There is a straight mile long easy gravel trail. The beginning of it has sensory activities for kids and a free library.

★★★★☆ — Jennifer , Oct 2021

Always a pleasant place to sit and enjoy nature, walk the track, or let the kids play on the playground.

★★★★★ — Susan , Jul 2018

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
