Confirmed from Alex Pike Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Alex Pike Park
“It’s fantastic that the path connects seamlessly into the rest of the Shadyside Park areas, making for a long, scenic route.”
It's a great place to walk. There are very pretty lakes and trees with nice walking trails. Today we saw a swan and a blue heron, along with the normal ducks and squirrels.
I cannot praise this little gem of a place enough! This loop is almost exactly a mile so I can keep track of the exercise I get. Beautiful views and a nice way to get away from the stress Anderson can cause!
An Absolute Gem in Anderson This is hands down my favorite place to walk in Anderson. The location (right off Alexandria Pike) is perfect—it offers a robust walking experience with trails that loop all the way around both lakes.
This is actually the other side of Shadyside Memorial Park. It’s Anderson’s premiere park with two playgrounds, an amphitheater, boat dock, fishing, paddling, pickleball courts, a covered bridge, and beautiful trails around a lakes for walking, running, and biking.
