Confirmed from Killbuck Wetlands' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“In recent years, they have turned it into a peaceful wetlands with some walking paths.”

My wife and I walk the trail every day because it's close to our home. The place, which is very beautiful , is also well maintained. You can even stop and take a rest watching the ducks at the lake or enjoy a refreshment at the small coffee shop located by the lake, or play tennis at the nice tennis court.

I remember this area from when I was a kid. The unusual dam was sort of spooky/beautiful, especially at night. In recent years, they have turned it into a peaceful wetlands with some walking paths. I did some watercolours paintings of this area. I was always intrigued by the dam.

Good place to walk, hike, fish, and just have fun. Fishing can be kind of spotty with live bait, but throw a black or black/yellow rooster tail on a light open face rig, and you're good to go! Nice sized small mouths, rock bass, and black crappie!

Great place to take a walk with the family, pet friendly and the path is paved. Lots of scenery to look at along the way as well.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 10 mentions

“This area just needs regular maintenance and attention however it is relaxing view of urban nature.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
