Confirmed from Shadyside Park And Playplace's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Outdoor space featuring picnic areas, playgrounds, a lake and a veteran's memorial.
What runners say about Shadyside Park And Playplace

“The park sits in a valley and is surrounded by awesome shaded running/hiking/biking trails.”
I love coming here on nice days! I did notice there's a ton of overgrowth and weeds... not only on the trails, but around the water as well.
Great park for all ages. Multiple playgrounds. Veterans Memorial. Walking trails.
One of Indiana 's most slept on treasures. This place is beautiful. The architecture is amazing. The park sits in a valley and is surrounded by awesome shaded running/hiking/biking trails. In the middle of these trails there's a huge lake it is awesome.
This is a gorgeous, hilly park with rolling green hills, lots of mature shade trees, walkways winding through, and lots of playground equipment that is in good condition, in a somewhat shaded area. Just beautiful. There are indeed some areas that need some TLC, but the majority of what I saw of it is quite nice.
