Confirmed from Alimagnet Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Alimagnet Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (246 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful park and right next to a lake that is great for kayaking.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“The best part is the abundance of trees, and the shade they provide.”

Beautiful place to run, walk, or ride a bike off road!!! 4 parking areas that I know of so there was plenty of parking that day. I saw an owl look straight at me,, that was pretty cool and the people I walked by were respectful of social distancing. I don't believe there's a boat launch though.

★★★★☆ — Dan , May 2020

Very fun park to go to with the family, or without. Fun, park-style Disc golf course with some good variation on the back 5 holes (goes from out in the open to through the walking trails). The park is well appointed as well.

Love this laid back shady oasis right in my own back yard! Frisbee hipsters hit the course... Soccer moms speed walking by on paved paths... Two playgrounds for the kids... Picnic area... Bring the pups... And a hill I bet is a decent slider!!! There's more... Trust me... See you there!!!

The paths to walk down to the lake are fabulous! Our girls love going here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
