Confirmed from Alimagnet Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Alimagnet Park
“Its well taken care of, the dogs are usually friendly, and the dog parks are well maintained and cleverly crafted.”
An exceptional dog park! Has an area for dogs 30lbs or under. Perfect for my chichuau!! Has plenty of room for them. Also a perfect little lake for big dogs with a great path around it. I would recommend it to any dog owners!!!
Very fun night fishing, but no clear path to the lake from the parking lot.
**Let the city of Burnsville know you want this park to stay natural! Tell them you don't want a pickleball complex here!** It's a beautiful park with great trails and impressive nature. There's a dog park, playground for kids, and tons of space and parking. Only downside really is that it isn't a total nature park.
I love this park. Its well taken care of, the dogs are usually friendly, and the dog parks are well maintained and cleverly crafted. Even the new split already looks nice (i do hope they put in another gate in the walkway between both pond and non pond part, down in the main area) people who see less algea may be more…

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
