Confirmed from Allan Cruickshank Memorial Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Allan Cruickshank Memorial Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (120 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“The Trail is a easy loop and the observation tower offers beautiful views of the lagoon, sunsets are beautiful here.”

Easy loop hike in the wetlands. A lot of birds to watch. Weather was perfect (70° on 12/22/33), no bugs, no floods. Nice easy 5 mile loop walk. There are small garden houses along the way to take a rest.

Great trails. 2 paths but both are good. Winds thru several habitats. Trails were good even after it had rained the day before. Seeing the old NASA railway tracks is a highlight. Lots of orange trees along the trail but they are sour. Don't eat them.

Great stop along the Black Point Drive. There is ample parking and Restroom facilities. My wife and I stopped here and had a picnic lunch and enjoyed a hike along the trail. There is a wooden lookout tower not far from the parking area that offers wonderful views of the wetlands an surrounding marshes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
