Confirmed from Annapolis Waterworks Trail - Housley Rd Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Annapolis Waterworks Trail - Housley Rd Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (31 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Fun Hiking with a toddler, baby and the dog. Definitely not a stroller friendly place so make sure to bring baby carrier. My toddler calls it his happy place 😊 Beautiful walk along side the reservoir is a bonus point.

★★★★★ — Shriti , Sep 2023

Parking is limited, and sort of on the street, but still reasonable. You could park over at PetSmart if all else failed. The actual trails are great, and well maintained, and mostly well signposted (no blazes to keep you on track, but mostly unneeded anyway).

★★★★★ — Graeme , May 2023

Love this park. I come here to walk a couple times a week. I frequently see other people on the trail and everyone has a friendly smile and a hello. It's really pleasant to relax and see others doing the same. There are plenty of loops of various lengths from .5 miles to 2 miles.

★★★★★ — Kitten , Dec 2023

For being in the middle of suburbia/ never-ending strip malls, not a bad Park to get into and see some nature. Not much elevation gain, but definitely a few small punchy hills. Lots of tree cover for even the warmest of days.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
