Confirmed from Truxtun Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park offering a boat launch, a recreation center & a seasonal pool with classes.
What runners say about Truxtun Park
“The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of seating and shaded areas that make it easy to relax.”
“Great view of a water access that takes you to the Severn.”
Uneven and rutted trail takes you to a wacky bridge that belongs in a fun house. Great view of a water access that takes you to the Severn. The community pool is nearby and trails around the surrounding neighborhood although I just parked near the community center and walked the trail through the woods to the water.
Beautiful new courts of pickleball and tennis. Nice trails with view in the water. Very relaxing and energizing
A great trail and park. The trail section goes thru a well-shaded woodsy trail that is both close to the water, as well as in the middle of the woods. Some sections have a few short and steep inclines as well as roots protruding from the ground. But suitable for beginners.
Much of the trail is clearly marked. That's rare in this area. Many amenities, some are in process of improvement. Here's a lichen community.
