Confirmed from Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,779 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Please please keep your dog leased and off these areas and clean up after dogs.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Check our the Stone Crest library, it's beautiful, almost like a church made of wood, and you could access trail from the parking lot.”

A uncommon environment makes this place feel like you're in another land entirely. The trails are very nice, but be sure to get out onto the rock and slow down a bit. Look around at the types of plants and animals living in the small pockets of moisture and vegetation.

Awesome nature and rock trails. The paved trails are apart of the PATH that connects throughout DeKalb and Rockdale Counties. It’s so easy to wander and explore all areas, and most tails connect to each another. The lake adds to the serenity, but is not suitable for swimming or water activities.

I absolutely loved this trail! I visited vary early on a Saturday so I was able to find parking easily in the main lot. There's lots of trails but the main trail has markers so you know where you are going. The incline is not so bad so if you are looking for a light incline and not so strenuous hike.

This was a fun hike. It was overcast so the walk was bearable. I can’t imagine doing this trek mid day in full sun It would just be really, really hot. Follow the stone pyramid markers and you’ll have no trouble finding the top. Enjoy your time at the top, its really pretty up there.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 12 mentions

“Unlike the Stone Mountain, it is free, less people, significantly bigger, has more trails, lakes, and different entrance points and views.”
