Confirmed from Arcata Bird Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife refuge popular for bird-watching, with trails, picnic facilities, and a public restroom.

“The Arcadia Bird Sanctuary is a wonderful place that is very peaceful and quiet.”
Beautiful lakes and trails, plenty of picnic tables and waste bins. Porta-potty leaves a bit to be desired.
Wonderful area to see birds in nature. Easy walking paths and benches along the way.
Varied habitat, including salt water beaches and brackish water marshes along with trees and bushes that create habitat for a large number of species of birds, including large and small shore birds, waders such as herons, ducks and geese, kingfishers, wrens, warblers, raptors such as harriers and Hawks, and solitary…
The marsh is always a good experience. Come for bird watching – plenty of interesting bird life here. Come for a peaceful stroll – enjoy the serenity of the place. Come for exercise – good place for jogging. It’s good in all seasons. Every time I come to town to visit family, we come here.
