Confirmed from Arcola Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 7 mentions

“It's the most peaceful place on the shores as far as I'm concerned.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“They've redone the path that takes you to the lake and they also added a family friendly picnic area.”

This park is a hidden gem in North Madison. It has a short and well maintained trail to a small unguarded beach. A few picnic tables and a wide open field to set your children loose on overlook Lake Erie. To the right of that is a short walk to the beach. I haven’t seen anyone swim here, but I’ve heard people do.

Beautiful park. Life jackets are offered, there's a cute but not too long path that leads from the parking area down to the beach. The sunset from this beach is gorgeous and never disappointing!

Absolutely beautiful and a hidden gem in North Madison, Ohio. Just take RT 20 to Dock Rd and it's all the way at the end on the right. They've redone the path that takes you to the lake and they also added a family friendly picnic area. Dogs are welcome too.

★★★★★ — Debra , Jun 2021

It is a short hike from parking lot to overlook deck. This area is flat and and easy walk even though not paved. From the over look to the lake is down hill slightly so not handicap friendly. The union of arcola ck and lake Erie is supposed to be good fishing in season

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
