Confirmed from Hogback Ridge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area with kid-friendly hiking trails along Mill Creek, and picnic tables.
What runners say about Hogback Ridge Park
“Nice little hiking area with limited parking, short trails, a beautiful creek, and lots of fly fishers coming in March.”
Love this park! It has a great boardwalk right off the parking lot that offers an easy and accessible afternoon stroll. The boardwalk leads to a large stair case that is an amazing workout in and of it self; and that trail continues down to the creek.
Stunning section of trails. There is a large free parking lot with a washroom and information boards. We did a 3.5km hike here, it took about 39 minutes. The trail has some elevation and takes you along the river. Lots of amazing scenery and photo opportunities. Well worth checking out if you are in the area.
This was a great hike...we followed the meadow to the Bluebell Valley trail to the boardwalk. Total of 1.87 miles, the only strenuous part was the steps leading up the trail back to the boardwalk. My only issue was the trail was not marked at a cross trail which would have led to a dead end.
Beautiful park to visit during the spring season. Love seeing the bluebell flowers, and the blooming dogwood & cherry blossoms. Dog friendly park, trails are in good condition other than a few areas with lots of roots sticking out.
