Confirmed from Army Corps Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful park with kid-friendly hikes, trails, and a river.
What runners say about Army Corps Park
“Photos taken here, because it truly is beautiful.”
“Nice plenty of trees sandy beach and peaceful”
“Nice place to take your dog for a walk except some people don't pickup their dog poop and parents take their kids there.”
Great little park. Lots of trails to walk and a few beaches near the river. There are trashcans all over but only one bathroom, near the entrance. Dogs are common and bikes are welcome. Like any trails, ticks can be a problem at certain times of the year (like right now) but most of the time they aren't an issue.
My favorite spot to go to skip rocks, walk and bike ride. I always see people getting family, prom, ect. Photos taken here, because it truly is beautiful. There is water access but it's freezing, so beware 😜.
Nice trails with a few splits that go towards the water. Easy to get to the river in a few locations. I had a fun time with my two cattle dogs and they even got to play in the water. The parking lot has about 10 or so spaces so it can fill up.
On a cloudy day and after the rain there weren't to many humans. The park was peaceful and quiet. It looks like it might have some great fishing spots. I saw a Sign that stated NO ALCOHOL. I don't drink ALCOHOL. The place looks good for Walks, Bicycle Riding, and Fishing.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
