Confirmed from Arnette Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with expansive wooded areas, plus sports courts & fields, playgrounds & picnic facilities.
What runners say about Arnette Park
“The park is very well maintained and clean.”
“We couldn't find the scenic trails that are supposed to be there.”
“8 tables and very well shaded, plenty of stuff for everyone to do.”
Great family park with a lot of activities to include tails for walking, running, playgrounds, sport fields, open fields, disk gold and many community events. We especially enjoy bringing our doors here with our kids in the morning on the weekends. Near Fayetteville and the surrounding area!
This is a pretty great park for walking your dog or just taking a bit of a hike if you prefer your trails to be more natural and less cultivated. There are no signs or sidewalks or anything else. These are trails in the woods. Many split into other trails, a lot deadend at heavy undergrowth.
Omg it was beautiful..I would definitely suggest checking out Arnette Park with the kids or alone with your significant other..The play ground was clean..the trails were easy to find your way in and then back out with out having to back track..and we only saw a few other people..
We had an amazing time on the walking trails down by the river. We seen all kinds of animal trails and tracks. Lots of boats going up and down the river. Very peaceful and easy to do hike even with two kids. After we walked up to the playgrounds and there was plenty for the kids to do while i sat and rested.
Trail conditions & character
“However, go early because we waited to get in longer than it took to walk the 1/2 loop of lights.”
“8 tables and very well shaded, plenty of stuff for everyone to do.”
“When you enter there's a radio station that's suggested to enjoy while you're enjoying the view.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
