Confirmed from Arroyo North Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering trails that are good for running and walking, plus kid-friendly hiking.
What runners say about Arroyo North Loop
“It was beautiful, peaceful, Glory to God 🙏❤😎🐶🌟”
“Great place to run, wish that they would have filtered water stations.”
Nice little trail that can connect you to Hahamonga Park, Gould Canyon, or, if you’re really ambitious, up to San Gabriel Peak and Mt Wilson. The little section in the Arroyo is nice, with some single track. There are even a few poop bag dispensers, if you have a dog and run out.
I walk around this loop most mornings. It's a lil over 3 miles around. Parking is free mostly, but special events will prevent anyone from parking. You can use the club restrooms during business hours.
Always people running but pleanty of room to keep distance... 3 miles around the loop... not completely even but makes for a luttle challenge. Great mountain views...
Great place to walk, run and bike. Relatively flat with a wide path to walk and run. If you prefer dirt, East and West sides have a dirt trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
