Confirmed from Hahamongna Watershed Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Protected area with mature trees serving as a drainage area & offering disc golf & picnic tables.

Fun park teeming with wildlife while still being close to the city. We were lucky to visit on a day where there were hundreds of juvenile toads hopping around which was a very exciting sight.
I hike here & adjacent Oak Grove Park at least 3x a week, so I really get to see & experience all the different seasons & beauty of the park.
I was super impressed by the clean bathroom!! There was even nice toilet paper and soap. It was great for a park bathroom! My husband took me here and this place was really nice. They have frisbee goalees (not sure the name of it), lots of unique ground squirrels, and lizards crawling everywhere and on the trees!
Pretty cool local place for a family semi-hike. We entered on the side across from the high school. Went south around the path over a small bridge then over the dam and down to the end. We had to turn back and re-trace are route to get back to the car. Parts were scenic with JPL in the backdrop.

“It will become an ugly, open, flat dessert (one-star) if they go forward with the dredge plans.”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
