Confirmed from Arthur E. & Mildred H. Woollam Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

It's great to have a real nature preserve that is relaxing and peaceful to walk through so close to the house!!!

This former Boy Scout Campus is now a dedicated & preserved park managed by the Kalamazoo County Parks Department. The large area is very heavily wooded with several semi-groomed trails & passageways around the perimeter & along the centrally located Bass Lake.

We are enjoying this new Kalamazoo County park so very much! The beautiful nature trails take us to so many special spots, including a small fishing dock, and there are kayak rentals as well. The restrooms are clean and well lit. Dogs on leashes are welcome. The trails go on and on forever!

★★★★★ — Shari , Sep 2025

Enjoyed a morning hike around this old Boy Scout Camp turned Nature Preserve. Lots of areas to explore. Friendly staff and A good map helps you plan your visit. One star off because there were not more bathroom options along the routes. Don’t forget your admission fee money!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
