Confirmed from Asante Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picnicking, basketball, and baseball fields, plus a playground and walking trails, feature at this city park.
What runners say about Asante Community Park
“The parking lot here is also very nice and well kept.”
“Welcomed shade and resting facilities along with ample shade trees.”
“There are 2 play areas so all ages can play.”
A little off the beaten path, but still a very large park. Nice play area for the kids, baseball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields and a nice walking track throughout. Even has a military memorial in the back. Plenty of places to sit and Bar-B-Q. Also has a couple working restrooms.
The Fry's grocery store is within walking distance. There is a really cool tunnel on the bike path. And the bike path was really nice and very well lit at night. My friend and I really enjoyed walking the path during the day and we liked it even more at night.
What a treasure! This is the very best of all the community parks in the neighborhoods in which I have lived. Safe. Vast. Nicely landscaped. Multi-use, including comfortable walk/bike ways for miles. Numerous playing fields. Welcomed shade and resting facilities along with ample shade trees. Very nice playground.
Asante Park is proprietary perfectly; a library, excellent play equipment, and smart design of placing the playing fields, and it's all topped off with a statue in the back with a "scar" of walkways alongside Grand Ave.
Trail conditions & character
