Confirmed from Ascot Hills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Urban retreat featuring rolling hills, views of downtown, hiking trails & a small amphitheater.
What runners say about Ascot Hills Park
“Is one of the most beautiful places u can go for a hike, walk your dog and also biking.”
“Lots of hills, easy trails, and hard trails.”
A beautiful serene place with different trails (narrow and wide). If water fountains can be fixed, it'd be great. Hint: To enjoy this hidden gem, you need to walk quietly and listen to the nature around you.
Definitely a hidden gem💎 in DTLA. Really enjoyed this easy trail. There's more than one trail to hike but all give you the same beautiful view. Parking is free and available. There's a small amphitheater and restrooms 🚻are right next to it. The park stays open after sunset.
I understand why people call this spot a hidden gem. You can choose your own adventure with so many branched out trails. You could probably come here 10 times and never take the same route twice.
A Lively Trail Experience with Blooming Flowers and Wildlife Right now, all the trails in this area are bursting with vibrant blooms, making it a perfect time to visit. While some parts of the trail can be quite steep, there are also easier, less inclined paths available for a more relaxed hike.
Trail conditions & character
“The views are phenomenal with all of Los angeles and remote views of Century city and the hike overall is not too difficult and it's a brief hike to complete the entire park.”
“While some parts of the trail can be quite steep, there are also easier, less inclined paths available for a more relaxed hike.”
“Tips to get to Angel's Gate: park by the parking lot upon entry to the immediate left, you don't need to park all the way inside.”
“There's a small amphitheater and restrooms 🚻are right next to it.”
“The trails are spacious and dog-friendly, but visitors are expected to be respectful by cleaning up after their pets.”
“5 mile it will turn north (only one way).”
“Was looking for small hikes accessible by public transit and this came up.”
