Confirmed from Ash Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ash Creek Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (207 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The grass has a lot of stickers. We were walking our dogs,so we went into the area off the grass and found a nice path/creek bed to walk in. The park is used for Frisbee golf, people were showing up for a game as we left. Very pretty park.

★★★★★ — Leland , Oct 2022

Huge open field in the middle with a very nice disc course around the edge. Easy to walk with multiple pads and pin placements for almost every hole that create challenging but fair shots for players. There is a very nice covered playground at one end which is a great for the kids.

★★★★☆ — Zack , Aug 2024

Nice shaded (early day) course. Relatively open pin locations, with concrete tee pads. Good in/out of tree belt. Downside is #1 is 1/3 mile from end at #18. Wish this course was closer. One of the more pleasant courses played.

★★★★★ — Rabid , Jul 2019

My wife and I love this place. All the holes are par 3s. About half of the 18 holes are shaded making great during hot sunny days. Be careful with stickers and bring mosquito spray. Restrooms are located around hole 16.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Ash Creek Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
