Confirmed from Ashley Dearing Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ashley Dearing Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (215 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Even on the hottest days there is plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the beautiful river”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“The playground itself is perfect and it's shaded which is great for those hot summer days.”

This is our favorite park in the Seneca/Clemson/ect. area. The playground itself is perfect and it's shaded which is great for those hot summer days. There's other parks that I've been to where people don't really care and end up trashing the place. That's not the case here.

★★★★★ — Cheryl , Oct 2019

Peaceful, safe playground in beautiful Clemson. A short nature trail that runs alongside a babbling creek. A fun play structure over a safe rubber surface. Swing sets. Baseball field. Covered picnic area. Bathrooms can be a little iffy.

★★★★★ — Joshua , Jul 2020

Sometimes you need a babbling brook and some tall shade trees. This is your place. Great kids playground, walking path, ball field, and aforementioned creek.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
