Confirmed from Ashley Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing nature park featuring a paved loop and unpaved trails, plus a picnic area and a restroom.
What runners say about Ashley Nature Park
“But it is absolutely beautiful and perfect for an easy walk.”
This is a very nice little small nature park outside Vernal UT. We saw a deer, chipmunk, and the beautiful fall leaves. We are younger family with an infant and it was perfect for him and our 2 year old daughter. We even used our stroller because the path was so nice.
Great little walking park. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Nicely kept unpaved trail. Initially wished there was a map of the park but found out that it's small and you can't get lost. There were no brochures available to say what the plaqued numbers ment.
This is a very nice park to take a walk at. We had the kids paint some rocks and put them along the trail.
Great place to take the dogs for a nice relaxing Walk! Could definitely take a picnic and feel like you took a trip to the mountains!

Plan your run at Ashley Nature Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
