What runners say about Freestone Legacy Walking Park
I usually go walking or hiking in the warmer months but when I don't want to deal with the heat and rattlesnakes or if I want to walk a little closer to town, I come to the walking park. This place is very pretty. I love the trees and the water.
Nice open area. Paved and maintained walkways. A gazebo is located in the center of the park. Arch bridge. Waterfall, stream, and a pond located at the other end. Trail is marked for distance around the outer loop. Dogs are welcome, but they must be on a leash.
It can be a great place to walk and run if the dogs are on the leash, no bikes, and the moms are watching their kids. Otherwise you have to dodge kids unsupervised, dogs running to you, and people or kids riding their bikes. By the way the city park has a path to if you want to run, walk with your kids.
