Confirmed from Astoria Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“You can fill up water bottles, and there are benches and tables to sit and eat in the shade.”

I live in Queens and I go to Astoria Park pretty often just to walk or relax. It’s a big open space with nice running paths and lots of green areas. Sometimes I bring some food and just chill by the water — you get a great view of the bridge and Manhattan from here.

I always loved this place. Growing up as a kid in Astoria, coming to this park gave me a place to breathe, and think. Sitting in my car by the water, or walking around in the park you had the chance to experience peace even though the park was bustling with activity.

★★★★★ — Terrence , Jun 2025

It’s located underneath the Robert F. Kennedy (formerly Triborough) and Hell Gate Bridges in Queens, NY. It’s runs between the East River and 19th Street, and from Hoyt Avenue South to Ditmars Boulevard.

I travel with the fair/ carnival & this is my favorite place of the year!! There's food vendors, tennis court, skateboard park, a track, a beautiful park to relax in!! The views are beautiful...the people are eccentric...I love this place!! I look forward to this spot!! I would love here if I had the option!!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 17 mentions

“Situated along the East River between the landmark Triborough (RFK) and Hell Gate Bridges, it provides unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline.”
