Confirmed from Rainey Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rainey Park
“Very peaceful and beautiful, the park is really clean and atmosphere also nice and clam kids friendly”
“Very beautiful park which has apple trees, mulberry trees, cherry trees usually found in summer season 🙌 the Mulberry is so delicious!”
“It is right off Vernon Blvd so you'd think it would be loud due to traffic but it was surprisingly calm inside.”
Interesting things to see here. We enjoy with our dog walking and the view of Roosevelt Island and Manhattan are the best bonus ! Fresh Renovation - Just Go
Always clean, a lot green areas to play soccer or volleyball. Amazing place to walk with your dog and/or family. 😍Beautiful sunsets too
My daughter loves the park, everything is spanking new and plenty to do. Only thing is there is no shade over most of the park, as it gets hot this summer, folks are going to be sizzling like bacon.

“It was 3 stars before and has improved - I would give it 5 stars if the bathrooms were accessible more during the colder months.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
