Confirmed from Athens Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious public park with lighted sports facilities, a conference center & a disc golf course.
What runners say about Athens Regional Park
“Very clean park with a lot of different things to do.”
“Athens Regional Park has great areas with pond, bridge and trees for creating beautiful outdoor family portraits.”
“We had a very nice time throwing the football and relaxing in the shaded areas”
Splash Park & Playground are excellent activities for the kids. Can be crowded at times but today, Wed at 3:30 not bad at all. And there's plenty of shade & tables to sit at while the kids play.
My granddaughter, whom I'm raising is about 5 yrs old she loves and enjoys the kid park a whole a lot. We really like coming here to run out that extra energy. She never wants to leave even after 2 hours of non stop play. Love to know when the Splash Pad opens in 2021 and the scheduled days and hours that it's open.
Beautiful park, well maintained and nice trails. Plenty of flowers and a nice creek circling it. Bathrooms could be better. Besides that, nice place and will definitely be back!
What a work out! This is an amazing frisbee golf course laid out along miles and miles of fun stuff for the family. We enjoyed this course so much we almost forgot to take all of our normal photos. The office in the front sells disc's and returns lost and founds.
