Confirmed from Audubon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Audubon Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (8,890 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“It’s incredibly peaceful, well-maintained, and offers a great escape from the hustle of the city.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“The paved loop is perfect for a relaxing walk or a morning run under the shade of those stunning, moss-draped oak trees.”

Wonderful urban park situated at the back end of the garden district, yet feels rather remote and distant from the roar of traffic and city life. This park was lovely, and had a very relaxing feel to it, unlike city park which felt more like a location one goes for activities such as golf, football practice or disc…

What a beautiful park! Well-manacured, serene trails, delightful fountain. I spent more time here than I thought I would. The park is directly across from Loyola and Tulane, yet many families with young children were enjoying themselves.

What a nice, well designed park. Open space, big wide open trail, golf course, children's park, tens thousands of beautiful wild ducks. The best of all, you can get there by bus, and TRAM. It was very good experience.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Had a blast at the playground, potentially scarring some kids for life, but it’s too soon to tell 😂 I also loved the water fountain area and the pedestrian pathway.”
