Confirmed from Audubon Riverview (Butterfly) Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreation area along the Mississippi River offering sports fields, a playground & picnic areas.
What runners say about Audubon Riverview (Butterfly) Park
“Tons of families out having fun, the energy was great and it felt both safe and stunning in it’s collection of trees and sunshine.”
“Peaceful and serene place during the week normally, sometimes the weekends get a bit crowded, but still amazing.”
I’m one of the lucky one’s as I live right by the park which the walking trail circles around the Golf course, across the street is the world famous Zoo, then just past it is “The Fly” as it is commonly called which is the shoreline of the Mighty Mississippi River.
Beautiful views!! Great place to walk and watch the ships go by on the Mississippi! There are public bathrooms but there are very few.
This place is like an Oasis hidden from the tourist. You locals know what I'm talking about. A couple times a month i like to hop on my bike and take a ride to this park. It is seven miles away but my bike has a big battery.
Found this walk along the River pleasant despite the heat today. Not crowded for a weekday midday visit. Trail and benches aren't in the best shape but location can't be beat. Other things you can do there like soccer etc. but we were just there to watch the boats on the river. Cool spot!
