Confirmed from Autumn Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green hiking area featuring wildflowers, challenges, and views.
What runners say about Autumn Ridge Trail
“Update 5/9/2023 This year with extra rain this trail is even more beautiful.”
“The Chumash Interpretive Center is nearby and does offer a simple, flat hike with a lot of shade if this trail is too much for you.”
“Nice easy trail cuts around between Thousand Oaks and Simi valley”
Beautiful starting point to explore the Simi hills. It's a steep climb at the beginning but a nice way to get warmed up. Beautiful views. Throughout the park, especially at sunset.
It's a nice trail that you can customize to your liking! If you like you can do a 3.5 mile loop or go to Simi Peak or China Flats for extra workout making it about 7 miles round trip. Vista keeps changing making it interesting. Update 5/9/2023 This year with extra rain this trail is even more beautiful.
Beautiful hike! Followed the All Trails route (trailhead to Sunrise & loop back on Autumn Ridge trail). Started around 8AM, plenty of street parking when we arrived. Would love to come back to explore all the different trails & routes.
Beautiful Trail that goes up to 20 miles long. Tons of ocean fossils, water features ( dry mostly year round). Stay away from the far back of the property as it leads to the toxic Santa Susana Field Lab. Also avoid this area on windy days as the dust contains radiation and TCE.
Trail conditions & character
“Most if the larger plants along the path have been burned away in the recent fires but lots of rolling hills views.”
“Wide trail, well kept, not super steep but there are steep parts you'll want good traction shoes for.”
“One can make a 3-mile loop coming back from Albertson fire road, although two trail heads are separated by the residential area”
“The Chumash Interpretive Center is nearby and does offer a simple, flat hike with a lot of shade if this trail is too much for you.”
