Confirmed from Banning Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring ball diamonds, soccer fields & tennis courts, plus a wooded area & a playground.

This park is off of Maryland Ave between Newport and Wilmington. Great for kids,B.B.Q, playing sports, hiking, fishing. It's excellent for jogging, walking or just plain out need a day to think. Wildlife is unbelievable. I been going here 40 years.
Great park to just get-away for a bit. Immaculate baseball and soccer fields. Vast open area to walk the dog and we have used the wooded picnic areas to cook food or bring take-out in the past. Very clean and well-maintained park.
Very good place to meet with family and friends on weekends or holidays. perfect for barbecuing in the shade with friends and 👪. I like it super I recommend it to everyone. remember to rent a kiosk you have to make reservation. it's a well-ordered place for people👏👏👏😃👨👩👦👦👨👩👦👦👨👩👦👦🏀🏉🏈🏈🎶🎶🍔🍔🍕🍖🍗🍞🍩

Plan your run at Banning Regional Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
